On 14 and 16 July I have the honour of performing my latest Mozart creation in my hometown Bloemfontein: Eine Klein Jazzmusik. Regular readers of this blog might remember that I last performed this programme on th night of my birthday earlier this year in Stellenbosch. Now the show has been beefed up even more for extra musical pleasure. The mighty stage of the Sand du Plessis Theatre will host our performances on evenings of 14 and 16 July. I am fortunate to work with a star studded cast; Magdelene Minnaar and Musanete as vocalists with the esteemed Odeion String Quartet and Werner Spies and Hugo Radyn. This will be our first collaboration and the Sand is sure gonna roch with the new exciting arrangements of Mozart I made for this performance. I have always dreamed of a possible concert with the fine people of the Odeion String Quartet and feel happy about this chance to go home with the genius of Mozart and the fun of bringing this music to people in a way they have never heard. Bookings are at Computicket and this forms part of the 2016 Vryfees.
